1% HOOPS

Privacy

The short version: your training data belongs to you. 1% Hoops has no ads, no trackers, and nothing here is ever sold. Other players can only see what this page says they can see.

1% Hoops is run by Leo Musahl. For any question or request about your data, email leo.musahl@proton.me.

What the app stores about you

Your account: your email address and your password. The password is stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read it, including us. Your email is used to sign you in and for account emails like confirming your address. Never for marketing.

Your profile: a username (made from your email automatically, you can change it), your display name, and your timezone (picked up from your browser so your streak resets at YOUR midnight).

Your training: the workouts you build, every session you log and its date, your drill results (makes, attempts, reps, seconds), your shot-spot results if you turn "Track shots per spot?" on, your rating history, your XP, your goals, and any private notes you write on a session.

Friends: friend requests you send or accept, and emoji reactions you leave.

What other players can see

Any signed-in player can see your player card: username, display name, current Overall and attribute ratings, and level. That profile also includes your timezone, total XP, and the date you joined.

Only friends you accept can see your logged sessions: that you trained, when, and your results, the same report card you see. Unfriending someone cuts this off immediately, both ways.

Nobody else, ever: your private session notes, per-spot results, rating history, XP log, goals, and your email address are visible only to you. There is no public leaderboard.

Logged out, people see nothing. There are no public pages.

Your share card is an image the app makes ON your request. It leaves the app only when you share it yourself.

What stays on your device

Some things are saved only in your browser and never uploaded: the skill level you picked on the welcome screen, your sound setting, pinned drills, your equipped title, and an unsaved session draft. The app also sets a login cookie so you stay signed in. That is the only cookie.

What we never do

We never sell your data. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, and no third-party scripts watching what you do.

Who helps run the app

The app runs on Supabase (database and sign-in) and Vercel (hosting). They store the data described above on our behalf so the app works. They do not get to use it for anything else.

The companies that run the app (Supabase and Vercel) keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, to operate and protect the service. We don't use these to track you.

Deleting your account

There is no delete button in the app yet. To delete your account, email leo.musahl@proton.me from the address you signed up with, and your account and ALL your training data will be deleted. This is a hand-done step right now, so give it a couple of days.

If you are under 16

Ask a parent or guardian before using the app, and have them email us if they have questions about your data.

If the app ever changes what it stores or shows, this page changes with it. Last updated: 2026-07-11.
